VisionTEK Implements Their Mobile Data Software in the City of Las Vegas

VisionTEK and a long time partner have once again teamed to implement their software solutions to public safety personnel for the City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement. This award provides the City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement with VisionTEK’s Field Reporting System as part of an integrated solution which includes VisionTEK’s FrontLine Field Based Reporting suite.

Superior, CO—VisionTEK, a solutions provider of mobile data software for the public safety sector, has joined forces to implement their Field Based Reporting and Radix Message Switch solutions to the City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement. The City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement project joins the City of Henderson Police Department as the second joint project implementation by VisionTEK in southern Nevada.

The City of Henderson Police Department implemented the VisionTEK field reporting software over two years ago. “This implementation has been very successful. The officers like the applications they received with this new system due to the increase in functionality over the previous system,” reports Shana Williams, Supervisor Systems Analyst for the City of Henderson. “Additionally, the customer service we have received has been phenomenal. The VisionTEK support engineers routinely go above and beyond when responding to our requests for service. Sometimes it is hard to find good technical support, but not with the VisionTEK support team.”

“The City of Henderson Police Department’s successful implementation of the VisionTEK  software suite played a role for the City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement implementation, “ states Deanna Wilson, Information Technology Project Coordinator for the City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement. “Our initial goals were to offset expenses and improve agency-to-agency communications with the use of the City of Henderson’s Computer Aided Dispatch system and mobile software. Once we reviewed the VisionTEK field reporting applications, in conjunction with the CAD/RMS software that the City of Henderson had in place, we knew the VisionTEK Field Based Reporting system would be a good fit for us too.” According to Ms. Wilson, the officers expect their efficiency levels to improve with the applications’ ease of use and their ability to complete their reports, while in the field. The VisionTEK application suite is scheduled to be deployed to the City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement later this year.
