Magnum Launches First Ever Kevlar® Uniform Boot!

Modesto, CA-Last year, Magnum USA took the uniform industry by storm with the introduction of the Magnum Elite Series. Now, once again raising the industry standard for cutting edge, progressive footwear, Magnum presents the first uniform boot ever to feature Kevlar® technology; Elite Kevlar 8" Side Zip.

Commonly known as a component of protective gear, first responders have trusted Kevlar® technology for more than 25 years. Kevlar® is man-made silky-soft fiber from DuPont® that combines unsurpassed strength with lightweight, comfort and breathability. Kevlar® is stronger than steel, offering superior abrasion-resistance that surpasses that of any other leather or nylon. The Kevlar® used in the Elite Kevlar® 8" Side Zip construction is a hybrid, well suited for footwear, that takes the best aspects of the fabric and strips away any excess weight. The integration of Kevlar® technology into the Elite Series takes an already outstanding product and launches it into a superior class all its own.

The Kevlar® panels of the upper are paired with quality full grain leather that exceeds global specifications. Also notable, the Elite Kevlar® 8" Side Zip is the first boot in the Elite Series to offer the convenience of a heavy-duty side zipper.

As with the original Elite Series, the Elite Kevlar® 8"Side Zip features advanced technological components that meet and exceed global safety specifications including ANSI, CEN, and CSA standards. A Dri-Lex® lining, accompanied by an Aerospacer mesh collar, ensures breathability. ?GIS Microbe Shield® technology resists odor, mold, mildew, fungus, and bacteria, killing microorganisms as they contact the surface.

The lightweight, high-traction outsole, designed specifically for the Elite Series, features tire tread design, providing the ultimate in slip-resistance and performance. The polyurethane midsole provides the ultimate balance of comfort, support and abrasion-resistance. The use of a composite shank, as opposed to a steel shank, helps keep weight down.
