Survey Results Support Tactical Advantages of Using Non-Lethal Defense Systems Such as the TigerLight
For Immediate Release
Over the past several months, TigerLight has conducted a survey in order to better understand Law Enforcement's need for the TigerLight Non-Lethal Defense System. The survey was conducted in conjunction with PoliceOne on TigerLight's website. 243 active law enforcement officers participated. Results found that there is both a strong desire and need among officers for better non-lethal solutions.
As all of us in law enforcement are aware, there is increasing liability in use-of-force encounters for both officers and departments. The proper response in rapidly evolving tactical situations can be very difficult to determine. The survey results demonstrate the great diversity of tactical responses possible in use-of-force encounters and the difficulty in assessing the proper response particularly with multiple assailants. Frequently, officers are faced with a split-second decision in a deadly force situation. Having a non-lethal self-defense weapon is vital so that officers have a viable option, other than using their firearm in difficult encounters.
Survey Results: As part of this survey, officers clearly identified the benefits of using TigerLight Non Lethal Defense Systems in use-of-force encounters (as shown below).
Q: Do you agree that having a stealth non-lethal weapon (the TigerLight Non-Lethal Defense System) capable of immediately deploying pepper spray without the officer having to give up his or her light or gun in the thousands of use-of-force situations encountered by officers everyday, will increase officer and civilian safety significantly?

Q: Do you believe that such a device should replace standard issue flashlights in those departments that issue lights to the officers?

Q: Do you feel the superior, longer lasting momentary blinding capability of the TigerLight's brighter beam provides an additional tactical advantage when dealing with non-compliant or aggressive subjects?

Q: Do you feel the brighter beam allowing the officer to see everything in the vehicle more clearly would be an additional tactical advantage when approaching a vehicle at night, thereby increasing officer safety?

Q: Do you feel the TigerLight's brighter beam allowing the officers to see farther, wider and more clearly provides an additional tactical advantage when doing block searches?
