Salient Stills Introduces VideoFOCUS DV

VideoFOCUS DV replaces VideoFOCUS Lite as the company's entry-level system. It offers the ability to capture video from any DV/1394 input source and offers many of the same key features as VideoFOCUS Pro.

"We realized there were many potential customers who have video enhancement needs for print, publication or identification but didn't need the capture hardware flexibility that our VideoFOCUS Pro version offers. This is an ideal solution for smaller organizations or organizations with limited budgets" said Laura Teodosio, President and CTO of Salient Stills Inc.

This version of the product is supported on both Windows XP and Windows 2000 and is available directly from Salient Stills Inc or through our network of worldwide distributors. VideoFOCUS DV 1.4.2 is available for Apple computers running Mac OS 10.1 or higher.

About VideoFOCUS
VideoFOCUS is a unique software environment for creating clear, printable images from all types of video sources, analog or digital, low quality or high quality. The software is in use by law enforcement for resolving surveillance and crime scene video and by newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies for enhancing high quality videotape for use in print and publication.

The software provides many features to get superior results from video enhancement work: video capture and import, deinterlacing, demultiplexing, quad separation, motion tracking and alignment, field of interest, zoom, video editing, media management, video & image archiving along with Salient Stills' innovative patented image enhancement which offers distinctively higher quality output images than simple 'frame averaging' or deinterlacing approaches. The software is backed by a committed support and maintenance package. This flexible solution can be purchased as software only or with hardware to meet specific needs.
