TIGERLIGHT Findings Show The TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System To Be More Effective Than Pepper Spray

HEBER CITY, UTAH - TigerLight, Inc. manufacturer of the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System announced significant findings based on officer involved feedback, incident reports and expert analysis by Defensive Tactics Instructors and use-of-force experts. All conclude that the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System is significantly more effective on aggressive, highly combative, mentally impaired and/or drug impaired subjects at close to medium range than pepper spray dispensed from any other device.

"This is very significant," says TigerLight, Inc. CEO Michael Teig. "We are not talking about a different pepper spray. We do not produce our own spray. We use major brands like BodyGuard LE-10, Guardian PD, Sabre Red and Fox Labs. The manufacturers of these sprays also claim that these particular sprays are 'Taser compatible'. The key is that the TigerLight® employs a completely different, stealth method of deploying pepper spray, yielding dramatically improved results from the same spray.

"There is just no comparison between the results provided by a typical canister of pepper spray carried on the duty belt and the results provided by a cone-spray equipped TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System. This is especially true if the spray carried on the belt is a stream spray," says Teig.

The TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System offers many very distinct advantages including, but not limited to, the following: It's stealth; it's instant; it's effective against multiple attackers. It's effective against drug-impaired individuals. It is also the only tool that enables the simultaneous, synergistic application of lethal and non-lethal force with a highly enhanced ability to incapacitate the most aggressive subjects at close to medium range…without physical contact. "Nothing else does what it does," says TigerLight® inventor and Portland Police Bureau Sergeant, Randy Teig.

Officers realize that no tool is effective in every situation against every individual. However, the TigerLight® Non-lethal Defense System completely changes the relative value of pepper spray in "use-of-force" situations. It invalidates or, at the very least, minimizes claims that pepper spray is inconsistent against drug-impaired, mentally ill and highly motivated individuals.

Additionally, the TigerLight® Non Lethal Defense System's effectiveness is not diminished by the fact that the subject is wearing baggy clothes, or is partially concealed by a car door or another object. The TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System only requires access to the head. It does not require straight-line access. In other words, the TigerLight® can disable a person in the back seat of a car. A clear shot is not required. This is not the case with stun devices or less lethal munitions. Finally, when congressional committees determined what the ultimate non-lethal weapon should be capable of doing, it specified multiple shot capability. This does not mean the ability to shoot the same subject multiple times, but actually means it must be able to be used to incapacitate more than one person at a time with multiple shot capability.

"The important thing for administrators and other decision makers to realize," says Teig, "is that they cannot calculate the value of this system based on their past experience with pepper spray, even if their experience has been very good. There is still no comparison."
