TigerLight Offers Free Pepper Spray For "Use Reports"

HEBER CITY, UTAH - TigerLight, Inc. manufacturer of the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System, the only device that provides an instant, stealth, non-lethal response; highly effective against multiple attackers and drug impaired individuals; and the only device that enables the simultaneous, synergistic application of lethal and non-lethal force, announced today that, for a limited time, it will provide a free replacement pepper spray canister when the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System is used in an incident and the "Use Report" is filled out online.

If it is believed that a life was saved through the use of the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System, the "Use Report" will be evaluated by TigerLight, Inc. Master Trainer and Use-of-Force expert Randy Butler and the "Police Service Medal For Non-Lethal Life Saving Tactics" will be announced and awarded to the officer or officers every 90 days.

TigerLight, Inc. is continually analyzing ways to improve the exceptional effectiveness of this device. These "Use Reports" will help TigerLight, Inc. and the departments using this device in a number of ways. By analyzing this data we can enhance officer training and further evaluate the effectiveness of particular spray types and spray patterns used in various situations and on various types of aggressors.

Scenarios that confront an officer often generate new ideas as to how to train officers to approach or deal with a particular type of situation. TigerLight, Inc. will analyze how other devices such as hand guns and EID devices are used in conjunction with the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System. After substantial data has been accumulated a full report and analysis will be made available to every department that submitted a report.

This data will be very valuable to departments in setting use-of-force policies, defending use-of-force litigation and will help TigerLight, Inc. in the development of further enhancements.

According to a November 2003 FBI press release, "in 2002, while performing their duties, a total of 58,066 law enforcement officers were assaulted, and 16,494 suffered injuries as a result of these attacks. Assaults on officers were most often committed with personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.), used in 80.6 percent of the attacks. Other dangerous weapons were used in 14.3 percent of assaults on law enforcement officers, firearms in 3.3 percent, and knives or cutting instruments in 1.8 percent of assaults on officers."

"Attempted assaults" become "assaults" when the aggressor is able to get to the officer. This happens when the subject attacks within a distance at which the officer does not have time to remove from its belt holder and fire his pepper spray, EID device, handgun or other devise that might prevent the subject from making physical contact with the officer. "We contend that, because the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System is already in hand and is stealth, the vast majority of these assaults on officers could be re-categorized as 'attempted assault on officer', says Michael Teig, TigerLight CEO.

"The TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System dramatically changes the rules. The 21 foot rules does not apply to an officer with a TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System in hand. The ability to react instantly, with a stealth weapon, and at the same time have a blinding light and keep your gun hand free, creates a veil of increased safety around the officer and gives him a great deal more latitude in dealing with non-compliant and/or aggressive subjects," says TigerLight Master Trainer and Use-of-Force Expert Witness, Randy Butler.

Simply go to www.tigerlight.net and fill out the use report each time and TigerLight will send you a free canister of pepper spray. This offer is for a limited time.
