TigerLight Begins Air Force Training in January at AFSOC, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

HEBER CITY, UTAH - TigerLight, Inc. manufacturer of the TigerLightŪ Non-Lethal Defense System, the only device that provides an instant, stealth response that is more effective against multiple attackers and drug impaired individuals; and the only device that enables the simultaneous, synergistic application of lethal and non-lethal force, announced today that it will begin a "Train The Trainer" certification course at Hurlburt Air force Base January 5, 2005 in Florida.

The eight-hour course includes approximately two hours in the classroom where 20 - 25 trainers from three bases will receive a comprehensive overview in a combination power point/video presentation and discussion during which, among other things, significant use-of-force legal and statistical information is provided and discussed. The TigerLightŪ Non-Lethal Defense system's application within various arena's and diverse "rules of engagement" will also be a focus and trainers will review situational video scenarios to prepare for 6 hours of hands-on tactical training.

"Prior to attending our course, some attendees have difficulty understanding why it takes eight hours to train in the use of a tool that is so easy to use", says Michael Teig, Pres./CEO of TigerLight, Inc. "The purpose of the training is not to teach them how to hold the light and spray it. That takes about ten seconds. The purpose is to teach them when to use it, how to reduce the likelihood that they will have to use it, or any other weapon, and how to integrate its use with other tools on the belt.

"The truth is, every 'law enforcer', whether police, military or professional security, has had to adapt their tactical responses to the fact that, until now, they have not had a stealth, instant response to an unexpected act of aggression, lethal or non-lethal, other than their hands, feet and maybe their flashlight when used as an impact weapon. The tiny flashlights aren't any good as an impact weapon and the use of the larger flashlights has proven problematic for state and local law enforcement. The TigerLightŪ Non-Lethal Defense System changes all that.

"A 2003 FBI report states that 60,000 law enforcement officers were assaulted in 2002 (50% of agencies reporting). In most assaults on officers, the attack is unexpected. If we were to define "assault" as a situation in which the subject made physical contact with the officer and "attempted assault" as when the subject tried to make physical contact with the officer, but failed, the TigerLightŪ Non-Lethal Defense System has far greater potential than any other tool of turning a very high percentage of "assaults" into "attempted assaults". Not only that, it also has the potential to significantly reduce "attempted assaults" due to the fact that it is stealth, completely non-threatening and therefore, does not 'escalate'. An officer can approach a subject, finger on the trigger, ready to deploy pepper spray in a microsecond, but appear entirely non-threatening. The officer is calmer because he knows he is ready to respond to an act of aggression, but the subject feels less anxiety and is therefore less likely to 'escalate' by attacking or running. The statistically increased probability of a fight or flight reaction due to 'escalation' does not exist with the presence of a TigerLightŪ Non-Lethal Defense System."

TigerLightŪ Training attendees are put through a series of scenarios involving all levels of force and force options with and without the TigerLightŪ so their minds and bodies can adapt to an entirely new way of doing their business. Simply put, the TigerLightŪ Non-Lethal Defense System has completely changed tactical response capabilities. It may not be as high tech as some devices, but, WOW, is it ever effective!
