Bullard Tacsight Thermal Imager Now Available Via The Homeland Security CEDAP Program

Through the Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP), the DHS Office of State and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness (SLGCP) provides smaller law enforcement and emergency responder agencies with equipment items that will enhance and support regional response, mutual aid, and interoperability of responder equipment.

Engineered specifically for law enforcement, the Bullard TacSight™ Thermal Imager System provides a powerful and effective thermal imager with a complete array of accessories to support the full range of applications from surveillance and detection, to search and rescue, as well as hazmat and accident investigation. TACSIGHT is especially well suited for tactical operations in poorly lit conditions. The TACSIGHT thermal imager requires no light. Heat energy is detected from target objects or subjects, and seen by the camera operator as a clear visual image.

As provided by CEDAP the Bullard TacSight™ Thermal Imager System comes complete with the following:

  • TACSIGHT S1 Thermal Imager - complete with -2- NIMH batteries, standard charger with AC/DC adapters, strap system, and hard case.
  • TACSWITCH - 3-position Dimmer Display Switch. Controls operator visibility from display backlight exposure.
  • Multiple Channel Wireless Video Transmitter - built into a convenient, easy to attach handle.
  • MOBILELINK handheld wireless video receiver - Small, lightweight, handheld multiple channel remote receiver with display dimming and scene recording capabilities.
  • TACSCOPE - attachable / detachable monocular eyepiece for complete covert surveillance and tactical operations.
  • TACPORT utility block for fixed position surveillance.
  • RCN17 - alkaline backup battery case. Uses 8 AA alkaline batteries as a backup power supply.
  • T3RETRACT - designed to keep TacSight S1 out of the way for "hands free" requirements.
For more information about CEDAP including program guidance, application forms and available products, go to www.rkb.mipt.org. BUT HURRY! The application period begins 7 November 2005 and ends 13 January 2006!
