BURLINGTON, Mass.--(MARKETWIRE)- N-Vision Optics, provider of leading edge, tactical night vision devices and technologies, including Gen 3 night vision monoculars, binoculars, goggles, scopes and night vision accessories, today announced that Columbus State's 727 Counter Terror Training Unit has selected N-Vision Optics' GT-14 night vision monocular for their up-coming training sessions for SWAT and Tactical Operators.

The course, entitled "Aircraft Hostage Rescue - Advanced Tubular Assault" trains certified SWAT/Tactical operators in aircraft familiarization, tubular assault, hostage rescue and negotiation methods involved in regaining control of commandeered aircraft, school and commercial buses and passenger trains.

"This course offers a range of training options unparalleled in the United States today," said Scott Wagner, Commander of the 727 CTTU. "We are pleased to provide our participants with N-Vision Optics tactical night vision devices. N-Vision Optics has an excellent reputation in this industry, and their devices are considered among the best."

"A critical component of our course is to provide participants with hands-on experience with the best night vision devices to help them identify weapons and terrorist suspects and evaluate threat detection at night or in low light conditions," Wagner added.

"We are excited to offer our night vision technology for such a good cause," said Max Rivkin, President of N-Vision Optics. "We believe threat and weapons identification is an important issue in today's society, especially in low-light hostage situations.
