Carrying a first aid dressing

Just recently, I noticed a push in the law enforcement community to have officers carry an individual first aid dressing, similiar to those carried by our military soldiers, on their duty belts. I believe this to be an excellent idea that could benefit a fellow officer or the officer carrying the dressing in the case of an emergency. It has been proven that the quicker direct pressure can be applied, the better the chances for a positive outcome.
