Active Shooters, Violent Vehicle Stops: Judgmental Training Scenarios Prepare Street-Ready Officers
IACP attendees author their own training scenarios in Chicago
Suwanee, GA – In today’s volatile urban climate, judgmental training is more important than ever in the field of Law Enforcement. Officers need to be ready for a life-altering situation before their life or their partner’s life depends on it. Meggitt Training Systems, makers of FATS® and Caswell technologies, will be showcasing its FATS®L7 marksmanship and judgmental training simulator with its integrated authoring station at the IACP conference in Chicago October 23-25.
At this year’s conference, attendees will have the opportunity to author their own scenario filmed onsite within Meggitt’s booth (#4503). Using the FATS®L7 judgmental training system with its integrated authoring station, officers can easily add special effects and build in branching to fine tune their own virtual training scenario.
The FATS®L7 is an advanced self-contained virtual training system that easily moves from the trunk of a cruiser to positioned on the floor and ready for training. A compact touch screen tablet PC provides wireless instructor control for ease of use, while an intuitive graphic interface eliminates the need for lengthy instructor training.
Additionally, instructors now have the ability to author personalized scenarios right from the FATS®L7. From active shooters and vehicle stops, to anti-terrorism situations, agencies can fine-tune their judgmental training to meet their departments’ needs.
