OpTac International Concludes Another Successful Training Event

OpTac International provides professional programs customized to meet the operational objectives of law enforcement and military agencies worldwide. Our innovative Counter-Sniper Program just concluded and elicited the following attendee comments:

"I thought the Counter-Sniper Program was very valuable and the instructors were great. The part I liked best was the final stalk where we had to defend the house against interlopers. It's one thing to be stalking and be spotted by a guy with binoculars, but it's another thing to be spotted and "shot" by the bad guy. It makes for an increased sense of vulnerability—something we don't often get in sniper programs. I'm always amazed how you can take a relatively modest shooting range and get the most out of it with innovative drills. We'll be seeing you in January at the National SWAT/Sniper Symposium. Thanks!"
Officer Mark Lundin
San Francisco, California Police Dept.

"I liked the stalks, stress shooting, and tracking [at the OpTac International Counter-Sniper Program]. The instructors were excellent. Thanks again for another good program!"
Officer Carl McIntyre

West-Chester, Pennsylvania Police Dept.

"The whole program was beneficial for me and [Navy operations]. The instructors were very informed and knew what they were talking about." James Neville
U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Virginia

This professional development program is designed to prepare snipers in their role of counter-sniper against suspects knowledgeable in SWAT tactics. A strong emphasis is placed on preparation for emergency response and surveillance operations that require movement, concealment, observation, and engagement techniques against armed targets. Classroom and field exercises include: counter-sniper tactics, counter- and anti-tracking, force on force engagements, marksmanship skills, and a live-fire stalking exercise.

The next Counter-Sniper Program will be held April 1-3, 2008, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Further information is available in the Training Section at www.optacinternational.com. If you are interested in attending or hosting a program, please contact our office. We look forward to providing you with operational solutions.
