A buddy of mine who is a sniper created a barrel rest for his rifle out of wool socks filled with Airsoft BBs and cinched at the opening with zip ties. Not only is this lightweight and easy to carry in your backpack, but it doesn’t hold water when it’s raining, so they last forever.
