A tech company demos a BlackBerry PlayBook’s features inside police vehicles

Mobile Innovations and D&R Electronics have set up a touch screen tablet inside Canadian Dodge Charger police cruisers.

The cruiser-mounted PlayBook — BlackBerry’s version of the iPad — allows officers to control the lightbar, pull up maps or officer task lists, and conduct rapid person searches that bring up detailed image and text results.
