Video: KC man claims traffic-stop brutality

The Kansas City Police Department says the officer did exactly what he is trained to do to take control of the situation

By PoliceOne Staff

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man in Kansas City says he was assaulted by a cop who threw him to the ground during a routine traffic stop. He’s calling it a case of police brutality and claims that dash-cam video, which can be seen below, speaks for itself.

KCPD says Carlos McCain was not complying with the officer’s orders demands to turn around during the August traffic stop, so the officer forced him to the ground. The department says the officer did exactly what he is trained to do to take control of the situation.
