New HERO Rescue Response Truck from LDV Features Heavy Rescue Construction without a Heavy Rescue Price Tag

Burlington, WI. – Bridging the gap between heavy- and medium-duty trucks, LDV has launched the HERO Multi-Purpose Rescue / Response Truck featuring the rugged, structural design of a heavy-duty rescue truck without a heavy-duty price tag.

LDV, Inc., experts in the design and manufacturing of a host of emergency response vehicles, has put together a product that is modular in design to reflect the specific needs of any department for a variety of emergency response applications.  It has all the benefits of a custom rescue body without the high price.
Some of the features of this unique rescue vehicle include:

  • 2-inch by 2-inch welded structure on 12-inch and 16-inch centers
  • .187-inch welded treadplate roof
  • Available up to 102 inches wide and over 30 feet long with multiple slide-outs
  • State-of-the-art composites on the interior; no wood products throughout!
  • LDV’s innovative design and unmatched interiors
  • Cost-effective modular concept saves time and money

The intelligent design of the HERO was well-researched.  LDV surveyed users to determine the right mix of modules to include as standard options.  Users can choose from multiple interior and exterior storage options, cascade systems, air bottle storage, galley, lavatory, communications workstations, and much, much more. Common layouts can accommodate multiple configurations such as dive, SWAT and rescue trucks.

The HERO Multi-purpose Rescue / Response Truck was on display in at FDIC in Indianapolis, April 19 to 21, in the RCA Dome.  LDV’s design consultants were on-site to work with emergency response professionals to design a truck to their unique specifications.  In less than 30 minutes, attendees could design a unique version of the HERO Rescue / Response truck to meet the needs of their department…and take drawings home!  The same can be done over the phone with an LDV design expert.

The HERO’s next stop is scheduled to be on display at the GOVSEC show in Washington, DC, May 9 and 10.
