CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A 15-minute police pursuit late Sunday ended with a car going into water and a Virginia State Police trooper rescuing the driver.

About 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Chesapeake police tried to make a traffic stop near Chesapeake Square Mall, but the 2010 Chevrolet Impala led police on a chase into Portsmouth and then back into Chesapeake.
