BMW Develops New Assault Rifle Mount for the R 1200 RT-P Motorcycle

BMW has developed a new mount for the M4 Combat / AR15 assault rifle, for use on R 1200 RT-P models. 

Mount comes complete with shielded cable to operate electric weapon lock, which secures the weapon grip.  A hidden push button and connections are also included.  Kit does not come with gun lock timer (available separately).  Mount is black powder-coated with felt lining to reduce marking the weapon receiver.  A production revision includes an adjustable barrel support for models with variations in flash suppressor lengths. 

Rifle mount protects trigger, magazine ejector, charging handle, barrel tip and ejector door while securing weapon in ready-to-use condition. 

The new mount is now in stock at BMW Parts Distribution Centers and available to all authorized BMW Motorrad USA dealers. 

Note:  The “skirt” edge of the radio box lid will require minor trimming for clearance of the lock when the lid is closed.
