LDV Delivers State-of-the-art Mobile Command Center to Delaware State Police
DOVER, DE - A brand new Mobile Command Center, designed and manufactured by LDV to interface audio and video with other vehicles in the state, was delivered to Delaware State Police August 16. LDV is based in Burlington, Wisconsin.
Equipped with the industry's most advanced technology to help emergency response professionals respond to any type of situation, this new command center features the latest slide-out technology with a weather-tight seal. The electrically driven slide-out area is controlled by PLC logic controls with a pneumatic seal around the perimeter. This area of the command center expands the department's high-tech communication space, allowing officers an additional 36 square feet of space.
A Sytech Interoperability System offers this Mobile Command Center the ability to communicate with other audio systems from other areas in the state. Microwave technology is used to receive video from the department's helicopter.
Mobile Command Centers are used to respond to major public events, emergency or disaster locations, or when public safety operations need to be coordinated and directed from the scene. Frequently, they serve as staging areas where news media or other officials can gather to receive accurate, first hand information about an event.
