Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (Ala.) Selects New World Systems’ Public Safety Software Solutions
New software will improve operations and allow information sharing with surrounding police agencies
Troy, Mich. — New World Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for public safety, announced that Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has signed a contract to license New World Systems’ integrated Aegis/MSP® Public Safety Solution on the Microsoft® platform to improve accuracy of information and support data sharing with surrounding law enforcement agencies.
New World will provide Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office with Aegis/MSP Law Enforcement Records Management, Corrections Management and Field-Based Reporting software, developed in-house using proven Microsoft® technology, industry-standard Windows® Server and SQL Server. New World’s comprehensive system will streamline processes and eliminate redundant data entry for the Sheriff’s Office. An intuitive user interface and easy navigation will help officers collect and analyze critical information to help the Sheriff’s Office make effective decisions and improve investigations.
The solutions will also allow the Sheriff’s Office to share information with surrounding New World customers, including Hoover Police Department and Birmingham Police Department. The ability to share critical law enforcement data with these local agencies and more throughout the State of Alabama will be a great advantage to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will become the largest sheriff’s department in Alabama to implement the New World Aegis/MSP software system. Sheriff Hale stated recently that, “Jefferson County has the largest number of records of any local agency in the State. As we have learned with our work on Sexual Offenders, crime and criminals work statewide and across the nation. Having the ability to share our records with sister agencies will improve our ability to lower crime and keep neighborhoods safe.”
New World’s Corrections Management software will automate the daily operations of the Jefferson County jail and streamline booking and intake processes. Field-Based Reporting will allow officers to electronically complete and submit reports from the field, saving time and keeping them visible in the community. All three solutions will integrate seamlessly and offer the County secure, accurate data.
Public safety agencies have relied on New World Systems for more than 26 years. The partnership with Jefferson County is an important milestone for the company in the State of Alabama.
“New World Systems is excited to partner with Jefferson County,” said Mark Dvorak, Vice President of New World Systems. “New World’s suite of public safety software offerings is a perfect solution for Jefferson County.
