Video: Fla. police go 'Gangnam Style'

Police take lighter approach to their yearly safety message in dancing parody

By PoliceOne Staff

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The sheriff’s office has released a comedic safety video hoping to attract the community’s attention while still sending a message to be mindful during the holiday season.

“This is a more lighthearted approach to the message we promote all year,” office spokeswoman Karie Partington told News-Press.

In the video, the department dances to the popular song “Gangnam Style,” replacing the lyrics with “safety style” while still keeping the distinct dance moves of the original internet sensation.

Cpl. Efrain Hernandez worked on the video and said everyone involved had a good time, even if it took a little coaxing to get some employees to dance on camera.
