One of the largest growing trends among pranksters is a hoax known an swatting — a false emergency call to police, generally directed at celebrities — sending officers, police K-9s, helicopters, and often SWAT teams to the home of an unsuspecting celebrity resident, or often times an empty home. Victims of this hoax include Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher, Chris Brown, and Kim Kardashian.
