P1TV Training
Renowned police trainer, Kathy Vonk, discusses her use of heart rate monitors to help academy participants realize how hard they are working themselves. Monitors are commonly used to measure stress performance in reality based training. They are useful in analyzing how quickly an officer recovers from a startle response which is usually the result of the training they received. It is important for officers to have an awareness of their own bodies through bio-feedback in order to understand how to get themselves back to an operating level.
