JANESVILLE, Wis. — A body cam video released by police in Wisconsin captures a dramatic rescue of a suicidal woman by an officer.

According to a release by the Janesville Police Department, Officer Justin Popovich began talking to the female on the roof from the ground. The woman informed the officer she was going to jump as she heard voices in her head.

Officer Daniel Schoonover then arrived on the scene and gained access to the roof. He scaled conduit in order to reach the woman  sneaking up behind her and pulling her safely from the ledge.

"The officers' calm, quick and decisive actions are credited with saving the woman's life," Deputy Chief John Olsen said, according to Madison.com.

The sound and video have been edited to protect the identity of the woman.
