Video: Cop thrown 15 feet in icy wreck

The driver’s vehicle slid on the icy road, slamming into the squad car and knocking the second officer across the snow

By PoliceOne Staff

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two police officers in Canton Township, Michigan were injured after a car slid into a cruiser, knocking one of the officers 15 feet across the snowy embankment.

The first officer had pulled over on the side of the road, according to WXYZ.com, and the other pulled behind him and was approaching the passenger-side window.

Out of nowhere, a 24-year-old pregnant female driver’s vehicle slid on the icy road, slamming into the squad car and knocking the second officer across the snow.

Incredibly, that officer got up immediately to see if his colleague was unharmed. They then went to console the woman, who can be heard screaming in the video.

The two officers were treated for minor injuries, according to WXYZ.com.
