COLORADO SPRINGS — A Denver police officer is facing charges after a standoff with police Friday night.

Colorado Springs television station KKTV reported the officer's name as Michael Gonzales.

Police said the officer's wife went to a police substation with the couple's two children Friday night, and told them Gonzales assaulted her.
