NEW YORK — As the New York City Police Department investigates a deadly police-involved shooting over the weekend, a newly released 911 call reveals the man gunned down by officers was threatening to kill them.
Police say the call was made by Emmanuel Paulino, 24, who was gunned down by police around 5 a.m. outside 121 Vermilyea Avenue after they say he refused to drop a hunting knife.
At one point the operator asks what's going on, to which Paulino responds by saying, "Yeah, I'm ready to kill cops right now."
