Video: Girl, 11, leads police on pursuit through Carolinas

She stole a truck, whose owner thought it was broken down, and doesn't know how she got it started

CBS - 13 WBTW

CHARLOTTE, NC — The North Carolina Highway Patrol says they were led on a slow chase late Monday night by an 11-year-old Upstate girl.

Troopers stopped a truck in Uptown Charlotte near Interstates 85 and 77.

WBTV reports the young girl got into a fight with her father in Gaffney and broke her finger.

Troopers say she took off with her dad's truck to go to a friend's house in Fort Mill.

She got lost, and law officers followed her on I-77 at 20 miles per hour before stopping her.

The girl was taken to a hospital and should be okay. No charges have been announced.
