Video: Suspect fights police, leads high-speed pursuit in wrong direction

Police found ecstasy and white powder in a baggy once the pursuit came to a close

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — A man and a woman are in custody after leading Kershaw County deputies on a high speed chase through Kershaw and Lee Counties Tuesday afternoon.

According to Sheriff Lee Foster, the officer began interviewing the driver, Jametrice Jacobs. The officer then began to interview the passenger, Clinton Harris, who as described by officer was acting in an extremely nervous manner as they were talking.

The deputy began to search Harris, Harris dove into the front seat of the Charger, got behind the wheel, while both officers attempted to subdue him. According to officers, one attempted to use a TASER on Harris, but was unsuccessful in the confined space of the front seat.
