Calif. K-9 hurt after thrown out window

Jaris suffered a gash on his head and was bleeding from the nose and staggering after the incident

FONTANA, Calif. — A Fontana police dog was injured while trying to subdue a parolee, considered armed and dangerous, when the suspect threw the dog out of a second-story window Sunday, March 31, according to authorities.

Although the dog, named Jaris, landed on his head and suffered a large gash, he had no major injuries, police said.
