Video released of DC cops' violent crash at Capitol

Both officers received non-life threatening injuries from the crash

WASHINGTON — Cell phone video captured the moment a D.C. police cruiser crashed into a barrier during the pursuit of Miriam Carey that locked down the Capitol last Thursday.

The officers in the vehicle, who have not been identified, were not seriously wounded. One was treated and released Thursday night from MedStar Washington Hospital Center, according to NBC News.

Miriam Carey was shot and killed by D.C. police. No one else was seriously injured.
