DES MOINES, Iowa — A high-speed pursuit through two central Iowa counties began with the alleged theft of tweezers and an eyebrow pencil and ended when the fleeing vehicle burst into flames.

None of the truck’s four occupants were injured and two people were arrested.

“It was quite a hectic morning for something that started that minor,” said Pleasant Hill Police Officer Adam Choat. “Sometimes that’s how it goes.”
