Heathrow closes after bomb scare

LONDON — London's Heathrow Airport terminal three was briefly closed after a suspect bag was found, but reopened once police confirmed the item was safe, authorities said.

Police said they cleared the busy terminal following reports of a suspect bag in the building, but were able to reopen the site within an hour.
 
"Officers attended the scene following reports of an unattended bag and evacuated the terminal, but later gave the all clear," said a Scotland Yard spokesman, on condition of anonymity in line with policy.
