Law enforcement investigators are educated and trained to make decisions based upon circumstances which take place in a matter of seconds. In sexual assault investigations law enforcement investigators deal with many people during the investigations ranging from the victim, witnesses, perpetrator, other law enforcement officials and support personnel. If the investigator does not have the proper mental approach then the case in chief may become contaminated or deteriorate in a matter of a few minutes.
This three-part series is about educating law enforcement investigators and private investigators in how to have the proper mind-set when dealing with traumatic situations, evidence located at the crime scene, uncooperative witnesses, etc.
If the investigator can pull together all of his/her resources and make decisions which are strategically based on the proper mental approach then there should be a positive and successful outcome. Failure to enhance the investigation by utilizing critical thinking and thinking outside the box, the investigator will become frustrated and lose their patience and the right and proper mind-set.
It is the responsibility of the investigator to push aside those issues which set the mind on a destructive mental approach which fails the community, parties involved in the investigation, and the investigator him/herself.
This three-part series is worth its weight in gold as the information which will be presented has never been heard of before; nor has there been any type of similar training. This series is a win-win situation for any and all investigators.
There are more than 50 "Investigative Insights" that the participant will walk away with. These insights are investigative tips which will support the investigator's education in what to consider at throughout the investigative process. Further, the powerpoint will be provided to all participants in a pdf format.
