Easy way to practice your draw daily

Submitted by:
IALEFI Member Corporal Guy Minnis, Evansville (IN) PD

Being able to quickly access your sidearm may save your life or the life of another one day. An easy way to become highly proficient with your draw is to do the following on a routine basis:

When you are dressed and ready to leave for work, make your weapon safe and practice 10 perfect draws. Load up and then go to work. When you come home at the end of your shift, make your weapon safe and practice 10 perfect draws again.

You will practice 20 draws per day, an average of 100 draws per week and over 400 draws per month. In a year's time you will have practiced your draw over 4,000 times.

Perfect practice and repetition is the key to success. This is a quick and easy way to become lighting fast. It just may save your life one day.

Thanks to all IALEFI members for their tips.
