Video: Fla. police subdue, hit man with ECD

Witnesses say one man was chasing another down a rowdy street, leading to the arrest

By PoliceOne Staff

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A cell phone video captures the fast actions of West Palm Beach police as they take down a man in front of a rowdy bar downtown.

Though it is unclear what started the scuffle, the videographer who captured the arrest told New Times that one man appeared to be chasing another in the moments leading up to the arrest.

The video shows one of the men on the ground, resisting arrest, as two officers subdue him.

One officer repeatedly hits the man in the head with what appears to be an electronic control device, but never deploys it.

The charges and the identity of the man in the Dec. 12 incident are still unknown.
