BAYTOWN, Texas — An active-duty Baytown police officer has been missing since Thursday, the Chambers County Sheriff's Office reports.

John Stewart Beasley, 46, has not been seen since he walked away from his home in Cove, which is just east of Baytown, about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beasley's family reported him missing that evening, and since then, Chambers County sheriff's deputies, Baytown police officers and two canine teams have been searching for him.

The sheriff's department said they've seen "no indications of foul play" but are investigating "all possible leads and scenarios."

Beasley is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds with a muscular build. He has green eyes and buzz-cut blond hair and a teal-blue tribal tattoo on his upper right shoulder. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, khaki cargo pants and black hiking shoes.

Anyone who might have seen Beasley should contact the Chambers County Sheriff's Office at 409-267-2500 or Chambers County Crimestoppers at 844-860-8477.
