Video: Ariz. police fatally shoot armed suspect

Three officers returned fire, then formed a perimeter and waited for SWAT to arrive

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Police in Arizona have released bodycam footage of a fatal shootout with a suspect.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports officers were called to the scene Thursday after reports that Sean D. Brady, 29, had brandished a firearm in a Wal-Mart parking lot during an argument.

When officers arrived, the suspect was inside his truck. Police ordered him to show his hands and exit the vehicle. Brady then opened fire at the officers with a pistol, but missed.

Three officers returned fire, then formed a perimeter and waited for SWAT to arrive. Brady was pronounced dead at the scene. Police found two rifles, a handgun and ammo in the truck.

One of the officers involved in the shootout was undergoing field training at the time of the incident. Per policy, all three are on administrative leave as the shooting is investigated.
