This week’s photo captures Sgt. Kramer and Deputy Byrnes of the McHenry County (Ill.) Sheriff’s Office. Their entertained co-worker told Police1 the story behind the photo:

“When a 911 hang-up occurs on an island when there is no marine patrol on, what do you? You locate a canoe and paddle your way out to see if anyone needs help. After finding all the residents on the island fine they [Kramer and Byrnes] took this selfie on the paddle back to shore.”
