LOS ANGELES — A pig was on the loose in a Norwalk neighborhood Tuesday morning, until deputies were able to return it back home.
Patrol deputies came across a black pig at about 11 a.m. in the area of Ferina Street and Jersey Avenue, said the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk Station on Twitter.

The burly pig was roaming unattended in front of homes in the area.
A video provided by the Sheriff’s Department shows the pig chowing on front lawns, trotting onto asphalt roads and pausing to greet deputies.
And at one point, before the reunion with its family, the hog even made a run for it.
“After a brief and unexpected foot pursuit, the individual was returned to his relieved family,” the Sheriff’s Department reported.
It was unclear how the pig managed to escape its owner’s property.
