Rap star arrested, threatened to shoot mall cop in face

U.S. Marshals made the arrest after helping local police serve terroristic threat warrant

ATLANTA, Ga. — U.S. Marshals arrested rapper Young Thug after he allegedly threatened to shoot a mall security officer in the face on July 7, Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested without incident July 15, a week after the incident. A U.S. Marshals spokesperson told the publication they were helping the Dunwoody local police serve a warrant charging Williams, 22, with terroristic threats.

According the arrest warrant obtained by AJC, Williams was asked to leave the mall and was being escorted out by the security guard when he threatened to shoot him in the face.

Williams is a member of Gucci Mane’s Atlanta-based record label. He will be booked into the DeKalb County Jail where he will have his first initial appearance and bond hearing.
