BALTIMORE — Two Maryland State Troopers working a Yankees-Orioles game in Baltimore Sunday asked two players for autographs during the game, according to a report.

The troopers, assigned to security at Camden Yards, allegedly made the request to Yankees players Derek Jeter and Nick Swisher during the ninth inning of the game, which the Orioles lost 7-2.

“Swish was livid,” a witness said.

Maryland State police told the Baltimore Sun it couldn’t yet confirm the claims of the report, but that MSP is investigating “as if it did happen.”

Lt. Col. Andrew J. McAndrew, field operations bureau chief of the MSP, reportedly attended Monday’s game to oversee the troopers.

“We regret any inconvenience this has caused the Orioles,” Police spokesman Greg Shipley said.
