Viral video of 2016 pursuit shows 10 people bailing from truck

ENCINO, Texas — A video of a traffic stop in Encino, Texas has gone viral.

According to local news station KSAT, the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office posted a video on their Facebook page showing approximately 10 people jumping out of a white Ford F-250 during a pursuit.

Although posted this week, Sheriff Urbino “Benny” Martinez estimates the incident took place in 2016.

Some news sources have reported that the department posted the video in order to recruit for more officers, but Martinez says those assumptions are “insulting,” KSAT reports.

The video has been viewed more than nine million times on Facebook since last Friday.
