HEBRON, Ky. — A sheriff’s deputy rescued a teen who was stuck under a car by using a car jack to free him.

ABC News reported that Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Strange’s body camera captured the rescue and shows him running to his patrol car to grab a car jack after arriving on the scene.

“He was totally out of it. As a matter of fact, his right arm was caught up behind his back, [it] was basically behind his back touching his left shoulder,” Strange said. "[We] started jacking that car up to get the pressure off of him. Once we realized that the initial pressure was off of him, we still couldn’t pull him out.”

Firefighters and an EMS crew arrived to help pull the boy safety. He was flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation and no charges have been filed.
