Lee Shaykhet was born in Moscow in 1955. He graduated from the Moscow University in 1977. Instead of joining the military, which would have never given him the opportunity to ever leave the CCCP, Lee chose to consult and teach from the University. Lee began perfecting and teaching his “move forward” methodology to Special Forces and Sniper units in the Soviet Army. In the height of the Cold War Lee risked everything to immigrate to the United States in 1979, via Vienna and Rome, eventually settling in the Metropolitan Detroit Area.

Lee offers a unique approach to defensive tactics and has been involved in training military and police officers his entire career. To his credit he has instructed U.S. and International law enforcement agencies in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Florida and Canada. Lee also provides his approach to various consulting and security firms such as Kelly Services and Hardnox Security Group. Some of these organizations have recently provided armed and unarmed bodyguard services to events such as the 2005 MLB All-Star Game and the 2006 NFL Super Bowl; both hosted in Detroit, MI.
