2-year-old gets ticketed by Fla. police

A photo shows Za’Dariyah Mishaw receiving a ticket from a Jacksonville police officer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young driver got her first taste of the law Sunday.

Za’Dariyah Mishaw was cruising through the parking lot of her condominium complex, enjoying her convertible and the warm Florida sunshine when she saw blue lights approaching from the rear. Officers were in the area for a criminal investigation, saw the girl and her family and tried to lighten the situation.

It is unclear if 2-year-old Za’Dariyah was speeding or failed to use her turn signal, but she was ticketed for a traffic related infraction. Her uncle Keyth Mishaw said, “Everyone always has bad things to say about the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, well, I want to say BIG PROPS to these officers for making a memorable moment for my family.” Clearly her uncle agrees with the citation. “It was a fun moment, brightened up the whole day.” Keyth said the officers made a great impression on the little girl.
