MELBOURNE, Fla. — A 17-year-old girl suspected of being high on flakka was arrested after running toward officers, nude and covered in blood and yelling that she was Satan.
The hallucinatory street drug has caused a string of strange incidents often involving aggressive behavior in Florida, reported WKMG.
Officers found the teenager, who had been reported missing earlier, coming out from behind a house. She was naked and covered in blood, and repeatedly screamed, “I am God,” and “I am Satan.”
Police said that earlier she had jumped through a glass window of an occupied home, ran towards a car and hit it, and also struck a person outside of a home.
Police used a Taser to stun the girl. Later at Regional Medical Center she told officers she took what she thought was LSD.
She was charged with burglary, battery and criminal mischief, and was turned over to a juvenile detention center.
“Whatever she was on, it was some mind-altering narcotic. The characteristics which exhibited are just like flakka,” Lynch said. “One of the characteristics is that it raises your inner core temperature … so that causes them to take their clothes off.”
