Dear P1 Member,

A few weeks ago, we polled PoliceOne members with the question "What long gun do you have in your squad?"

The results of the poll, we're happy to say, were not as terrible as we were expecting, with a full 59 percent of respondents indicating they have a department-issued long gun (37 percent said AR system, 22 percent said shotgun). But there's still a long way to go: 16 percent said, "What long gun?" How do you convince the higher-ups of the need to outfit squads with this essential equipment? Send us your thoughts and we'll compile them for the next issue of PoliceOne Firearms eNews.
