Officers from the Jacksonville (Fla.) Sheriff's Office found Robert Dunn dead in his patrol car from a self-inflicted gun shot wound, Tuesday.

Fla. officer commits suicide in cruiser

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A police officer died early Tuesday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his patrol car, Sheriff John Rutherford said.

Robert Dunn, 39, was one of three officers responding to a disturbance call at 3:30 a.m. The other two officers went in to investigate the call, but Dunn did not follow.
