Night vision on patrol: One department’s impressive experience

An SVI Command Unit was recently delivered to Salinas, CA PD. 
The apparatus is built on an IH extended cab/chassis and includes a 22' command/communication body with a slide out command wall that expands interior space by 50%. A 20 KW generator provides power to a 9,000 watt Command Light capable of lighting a football field. The unit also includes pneumatic 40' mast with a camera to record events.

N.J. police station evacuated after anthrax threat

PEQUANNOCK, N.J. — A threatening letter referring to anthrax and containing what turned out to be glass beads prompted the evacuation of Pequannock Township's police department and town hall yesterday.
